Very predictable result when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (34-8) defeated on the road 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-37) 76-64 on Sunday. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side guard Tatsunori Fujie (184-87) responded with 15 points and American center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 34-8 record. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the sixth position with 37 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Dragonflies (#4) in Hiroshima in the next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fukushima and hope to win that game.
