There was a minor upset when 4th placed Bursa BSB (16-8) lost at home to sixth ranked Edremit (15-9) 77-71 on Sunday. Edremit looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Hande Celebi (182-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Pelin Kuccuk (172-90) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Edremit players scored in double figures. American center Monique Oliver (188-91, college: Rutgers) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and forward Dilek Dedeoglu (183-83, agency: Fly Basketball) added 15 points and 7 assists in the effort for Bursa BSB. Edremit maintains sixth place with 15-9 record. Bursa BSB lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Edremit will face higher ranked Cankaya (#5) in Ankara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bursa BSB will play at home against Izmit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
