Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#2, 9-5) victory against 4th placed Taipower (0-14) 66-59. They outrebounded Taipower 45-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. The former international center Pei-Chen Tsai (186-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and international forward Ying-Chieh Wu (179-92) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Hsien-Fang Lin (168-91) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Shih-Chieh Chang (172-86) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Taipower players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Taiyuan Textile. They maintain second place with 9-5 record having four points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost their fourteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 14 games lost. Taiyuan Textile will face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play again against the league's second-placed Taiyuan Textile and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
