The game in Odessa was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Khimik (14-13) played at the court of 5th ranked Bipa Basket (11-17). Khimik managed to secure a 5-point victory 88-83. Khimik shot 61.2 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Khimik especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Austin Arians (198-93, college: Wake Forest) who led the winners and scored 29 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 21 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Latvian center Lauris Blaus (208-90) came up with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for Bipa Basket in the defeat. Four Bipa Basket players scored in double figures. Bipa Basket's coach Oleg Yushkin let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Khimik maintains fourth place with 14-13 record. Bipa Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 17 games lost. Khimik's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Cherkasy on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
