Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked UD Nueva Oran (3-16) was rolled over on the road by second ranked El Tribuno (14-7) 87-56 on Friday. El Tribuno dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to UD Nueva Oran's 30. They outrebounded UD Nueva Oran 46-28 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Facundo Arias (195-93) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and naturalized American center Eric Freeman (205-79, college: Ky Wesleyan) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. El Tribuno's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Luis Ponce (178-90) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Patricio Cadillac (184-81) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Newly promoted El Tribuno maintains second place with 14-7 record having five points less than leader Ferro Carrill O., which they share with Saladas. UD Nueva Oran lost eleventh consecutive game.
