Regular Season Round 27: Guadalajara - Azuqueca 76-70

Leading Azuqueca (20-3) recorded its third loss on the court of fifth ranked CB Guadalajara. Visitors were defeated by CB Guadalajara 76-70. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Azuqueca. Azuqueca was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Azuqueca 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-94, college: Arkansas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. American CJ Dunston (196-94, college: Lancaster Bible) helped adding 15 points and 15 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Daniel Yusta (201-86) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Alvaro Frutos (188-87, agency: Duran International) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Four Azuqueca players scored in double figures. CB Guadalajara maintains fifth place in Group B with 15-9 record. Azuqueca at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. CB Guadalajara will play against Quintanar (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Azuqueca will play against Teguise (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
