Very predictable result when second ranked Gijon (19-6) won against 14th ranked Obradoiro II (8-17) in Santiago de Comp 94-79 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 31-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Gijon made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game, while Obradoiro II only scored five points from the stripe. Gijon forced 30 Obradoiro II turnovers. It was a good game for guard Alejandro Rubiera (190-98) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 steals.
