Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Stuttgart (13-10) defeated at home 8th ranked Fellbach (11-13) 105-99 on Sunday. Fellbach was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for guard Cyrill Da-Silva (183-83) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 assists. Montenegrin Milos Mandic (195-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Stuttgart players scored in double figures. American center Scooter Gillette (206-90, college: Fair Dickinson) answered with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 15-of-16 shooting from the field) and forward Nils-Frederik Menck (203-82) added 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Fellbach. Fellbach's coach Jens Leutenecker rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stuttgart maintains sixth place in South-West with 13-10 record. Loser Fellbach keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Stuttgart will face BG Karlsruhe (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
