There was no surprise when 12th ranked Sestu (8-18) was outleveled on the road by second ranked Basket Barcellona (21-5) 82-50 on Sunday. Basket Barcellona outrebounded Sestu 42-28 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Michael Teghini (192-92) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Basket Barcellona players scored in double figures. Swingman Romeo Trionfo (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Mauro Graviano (184-89) added 6 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sestu. Basket Barcellona maintains second position in B with 21-5 record having just two points less than leader San Severo. Newly promoted Sestu dropped to the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Basket Barcellona will face Capo d'Orlando (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sestu will play against Roma Tiber (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
