Regular Season Round 45: Fukuoka Rizing - Hiroshima D. 86-82

An interesting game for Fukuoka Rizing (36-8) which hosted in Fukuoka 4th placed Dragonflies (21-23). First ranked Fukuoka Rizing managed to get a 4-point victory 86-82. Fukuoka Rizing players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international center Pape Faye (200-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who recorded 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Fukuoka Rizing and four Dragonflies players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 36-8 record. Dragonflies lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 23 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kumamoto V. on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragonflies will play against Kagawa FA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
