Regular Season Round 28: Caceres - Valladolid 64-92

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Blancos de Rueda (13-15) smashed on the road 12th ranked Caceres Basket (11-16) 92-64 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Blancos de Rueda. Caceres Basket was better in fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Blancos de Rueda shot 65.4 percent from the field. Blancos de Rueda had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists and forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Blancos de Rueda players scored in double figures. At the losing side Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to ninth place. Caceres Basket lost fifth consecutive game. Loser Caceres Basket keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Blancos de Rueda will face higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Caceres Basket will play against CB Prat (#3) and hope to win that game.
