Regular Season Round 28: Manresa - Sammic ISB 88-61

Very expected game when 15th ranked Sammic ISB (9-19) was crushed on the road by third ranked La ICL Manresa (21-7) 88-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. La ICL Manresa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Nacho Martin (202-83) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-92) responded with 20 points and Serbian power forward Vasilije Vucetic (209-96) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. La ICL Manresa moved-up to second place, which they share with Prat. Sammic ISB lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. La ICL Manresa will face Leyma Basquet (#8) in Coruna in the next round where they are favorite. Sammic ISB will play at home against Barca II (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
