Regular Season Round 23: Khimki-2 - Unics-2 91-60

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Khimki. First ranked Khimki-2 faced 4th placed Unics-2. Host Khimki-2 (28-6) smashed guests from Kazan (20-14) 91-60. Khimki-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Elkhan Akhmedov (184-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 assists. Swingman Dmitriy Cheburkin (200-97) helped adding 14 points. Five Khimki-2 players scored in double figures. Artem Ivanov (193-98) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds and Vadim Kudinov (195-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimki-2 have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-6 record. Unics-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost. Khimki-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Unics-2 will play against Enisey-2 (#10) in Krasnoyarsk and hope to secure a win.
