Regular Season Round 23: Peristeri GS - Doukas 123-91

A2 top team - Peristeri GS (23-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Doukas (3-20) in Athens 123-91. The game without a history. Peristeri GS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.0 percent from the field. Peristeri GS shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a great evening for American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Guard Spyros Magounis (200-85) helped adding 31 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) responded with 25 points and guard Thodoris Tsiotras (198-87) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Doukas players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Peristeri GS have an impressive series of twenty three victories in a row. Newly promoted Peristeri GS maintains first place with 23-0 record. Doukas lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Peristeri GS's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Papagou.
