Regular Season Round 25: AZS UMCS - Energa Torun 63-66

The most exciting game of round 25 in the BLK took place in Lublin. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked AZS UMCS (14-9) to fifth ranked Energa Torun (16-6) 66-63 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS UMCS. Energa Torun looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. International Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Four Energa Torun players scored in double figures. American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple) produced 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Energa Torun have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 16-6 record. AZS UMCS at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Energa Torun are looking forward to face AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#7) in Gorzow Wlkp. in the next round. AZS UMCS will play on the road against TS Ostrovia in Ostrow Wlkp. and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
