Regular Season Round 16: Westports MD - Hong Kong ELL 96-110

ASEAN League top team - Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (14-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Malaysian Westports MD (5-15) in Kuala Lumpur 110-96. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (201-74, college: UALR) who added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Hong Kong ELL's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) responded with 31 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import power forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hong Kong ELL and four Westports MD players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Hong Kong ELL went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Mono Vampire and Alab Pilipinas. Westports MD lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with CLS Knights.
