Regular Season Round 27: San Severo - Teramo 78-71

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Teramo (13-14) was defeated on the road by first ranked San Severo (24-3) 78-71 on Sunday. San Severo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Emidio Di Donato (198-92) helped adding 7 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized Romanian Victor Osmatescu (201-96) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Valerio Staffieri (196-92) scored 20 points. Teramo's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. San Severo maintains first place in B with 24-3 record. Loser Teramo keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. San Severo will face Civitanova (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Teramo will play against Nardo (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
