Regular Season Round 27: Civitanova - Porto S.Elpidio 71-55

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Civitanova (15-12) defeated at home 5th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (15-12) 71-55 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Lorenzo Andreani (183-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Matteo Marinelli (202-84, agency: Two Points) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Fabio Lovatti (192-89) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Simone Zanotti (208-92) scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Porto S.Elpidio's coach Massimiliano Domizioli let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Civitanova moved-up to sixth place in B. Civitanova will face league's leader San Severo at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Giulianova (#12) and hope to win that game.
