Regular Season Round 21: Maccabi Ashdod - Hapoel Eilat 75-63

The game between fourth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (12-9) and 5th ranked Hapoel Eilat (10-11) in Ashdod ended with biggest points difference. Maccabi Ashdod beat guests from Eilat 75-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hapoel Eilat. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. Hapoel Eilat was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hapoel Eilat 49-30 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Jordan Loyd (193-93, college: Indianapolis) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Ashdod have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 12-9 record. Hapoel Eilat at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Maccabi Ashdod's next round opponent will be Bnei Hasharon (#10) in Hod Hasharon which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Eilat will play at home against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8) and hope to win that game.
