An interesting game for Cyberdyne IR (25-21) which hosted in Tsukuba one of their biggest challengers Kanazawa Sam. (23-23). Third ranked Cyberdyne IR managed to get a 8-point victory 74-66. Cyberdyne IR dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa Sam.'s 26. The best player for the winners was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 25-21 record having five points less than leader Akita NH. Newly promoted Kanazawa Sam. keeps the fourth place with 23 games lost.
