Regular Season Round 49: Shinshu BW - Aomori Watts 76-73

Fifth-ranked Aomori Watts (12-36) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Shinshu BW (23-24) in Nagano. Shinshu BW managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected easier game. Shinshu BW dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori Watts' 30. Shinshu BW forced 20 Aomori Watts turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) answered with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Aomori Watts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Shinshu BW have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 23-24 record which they share with defeated Aomori Watts. Aomori Watts at the other side keep the fifth position with 36 games lost. Shinshu BW's next round opponent will be again Aomori Watts (#5) at home.
