Regular Season Round 24: Limoges - Monaco 66-73

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Limoges (13-11) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Monaco (13-11) 73-66 on Saturday. Monaco forced 32 Limoges turnovers. Strangely Limoges outrebounded Monaco 40-25 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Limoges was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Luc Loubaki (191-97) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and Romain Poinas (203-98, agency: Two Points) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese center Merveille Muninga (211-97) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and guard Benjamin Delage (183-97) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Limoges and Bourg. Limoges lost third consecutive game. Monaco will face Boulazac (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
