Regular Season Round 25: Strasbourg - Boulazac 88-75

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked SIG Strasbourg as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Monaco) loss. SIG Strasbourg defeated 17th ranked Boulazac Basket at home 88-75. The game without a history. SIG Strasbourg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. SIG Strasbourg players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Guard Levi Randolph (196-92, college: Alabama) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and forward Darion Atkins (203-92, college: Virginia) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Brandon Ubel (208-91, college: Nebraska, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: Robert Morris) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SIG Strasbourg have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Monaco. Boulazac Basket lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Hyeres-Toulon. Boulazac Basket will play next round against strong Monaco trying to get back on the winning streak. SIG Strasbourg will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Chalon/Saor on the road.
