Regular Season Round 7: Brasilia - Cerrado 54-41

Bottom-ranked Cerrado (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 54-41 loss to seventh ranked Brasilia (3-5) in Brasilia on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for power forward Leonardo De-Souza (206-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. Jose-Mauro Barrozo (201-96) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Eric Soares (205-86) responded with 7 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Paulo Da-Costa (191-94) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brasilia moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Blumenau. Cerrado lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost.
