Regular Season Round 27: Real Canoe - Plasencia 91-77

Very expected game when 13th ranked Plasencia (10-17) lost to ninth ranked Real Canoe (13-14) in Madrid 77-91. The game was mostly controlled by Real Canoe. Plasencia was better in fourth quarter 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Plasencia was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 9 rebounds. Bahamas swingman JR Cadot (196-87, college: TCU) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Fernando Sierra (194-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Real Canoe maintains ninth place with 13-14 record. Plasencia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Agustinos-Leclerc and Cambados. Real Canoe will play against higher ranked L'Hospitalet (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Plasencia will play against Cambados (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
