The game between third ranked Hammarby (12-6) and 5th ranked Bankeryd (9-8) in Stockholm on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Hammarby outscored guests from Bankeryd 100-74. The game without a history. Hammarby led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hammarby forced 20 Bankeryd turnovers and had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. The winners were led by forward Uros Cigoja (198-98) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Ramendra Haag (187-90) supported him with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Hammarby players scored in double figures. Hammarby's coach Ake Barlin felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) did not help to save the game for Bankeryd. Guard Jonas Eriksson (190-85) added 26 points. Hammarby have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Hammarby maintains third position with 12-6 record having six points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Bankeryd at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Hammarby will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bankeryd will play against Haga BG (#4) in Norrkoping and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
