Regular Season Round 29: Souffel - RAC Basket 97-74

The game between third ranked Rueil (21-8) and eleventh ranked Souffelweyersheim (13-16) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Rueil was crushed by Souffelweyersheim in Souffelweyersheim 97-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rueil. Souffelweyersheim shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Valentin Correia (192-93) stepped up and scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. Souffelweyersheim's coach Stephane Eberlin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Souffelweyersheim moved-up to tenth place, which they share with ALS Basket and La Charite. Rueil at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Saint-Quentin. Souffelweyersheim is looking forward to face league's second-placed Saint Vallier on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rueil will play against La Charite and is hoping to win this game.
