Regular Season Round 27: Roanne - Lille 77-53

The game between Top Four teams took place in Roanne. Second ranked host Chorale de Roanne (21-6) smashed 4th placed Lille Metropole (17-10) 77-53. Chorale de Roanne looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American-Kenyan forward Robert Nyakundi (203-89, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Chadian forward Mael Lebrun (198-91) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chorale de Roanne have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-6 record behind leader Blois, which they share with Orleans. Lille Metropole at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Saint-Chamond. Chorale de Roanne is looking forward to face Saint Chamond (#5) on the road in the next round. Lille Metropole will play against STB Le Havre and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
