Regular Season Round 52: Gunma - Fukuoka Rizing 85-90

Rather predictable result when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (41-10) won against on the road 3rd ranked Gunma (27-23) 90-85 on Sunday. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Gunma was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) contributed with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) replied with 27 points and 7 rebounds and forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) added 11 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Gunma. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 41-10 record. Loser Gunma keeps the third place with 23 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Bambitious Nara (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Gunma will play against Shinshu BW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
