Regular Season Round 27: TBV Start - Polpharma 96-75

There was a small surprise in Lublin where twelfth ranked Start (15-13) smashed 9th ranked Polpharma (16-15) 96-75 on Sunday. Start dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Polpharma's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (196-93, college: Marist) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 assists. Marcin Dutkiewicz (198-86) helped adding 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Start players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Thomas Davis (198-91, college: SW Oklahoma St.) with 22 points and 5 assists and Serbian power forward Milan Milovanovic (205-91, agency: 011 Sports) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Start moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Polpharma dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Start will face higher ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
