Regular Season Round 33: Den Bosch - Weert 92-75

Date: April 10, 2018
Very predictable result when second ranked Den Bosch (23-6) defeated at home bottom-ranked Weert (4-25) 92-75. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Weert was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Den Bosch dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Weert's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international center Nick Oudendag (210-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84) accounted for 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Oudendag is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Forward Sam Van-Dijk (194-96) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Roel Aarts (205-93) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Weert in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Den Bosch maintains second place with 23-6 record having just three point less than leader Groningen. Weert at the other side stay dead last with 25 lost games. Den Bosch will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Weert will play on the road against Zwolle (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
