Regular Season Round 26: Hapoel B/S - Hapoel Afula 86-80

There was no surprise in Beer Sheva where 11th ranked Hapoel Afula (9-17) was defeated by fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (18-8) 86-80. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hapoel B/S made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Hapoel B/S outrebounded Hapoel Afula 48-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Afula. Naturalized American forward Alex Rosenberg (201-91, college: Columbia) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Hapoel B/S have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel Afula at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
