Regular Season Round 26: Amyntas Dafnis - Karditsas 75-77

A very close game took place in Athens between Karditsas and Amyntas Dafnis. Twelfth ranked Karditsas (10-16) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Amyntas Dafnis (14-12). Karditsas managed to escape with a 2-point win 77-75 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Karditsas made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Karditsas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Papagou and Marousi. Loser Amyntas Dafnis keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ethnikos and Doxa Lefkadas. Karditsas will meet at home higher ranked Psychiko (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Amyntas Dafnis' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Papagou.
