Second Stage Round 8: Tsmoki-Minsk - Vitebsk 103-76

Date: April 13, 2018
The game between Top Four teams took place in Minsk. First ranked host Tsmoki-Minsk (38-5) smashed 4th ranked Vitebsk (21-20) 103-76. Tsmoki-Minsk made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Viachaslau Korzh (194-86) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists and international power forward Anton Vashkevich (203-94) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Yahor Patupchik (191-94) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 38-5 record. Vitebsk lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 20 games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vitebsk will play at home against Impuls BGUIR (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
