Very predictable result when fifth ranked Medacbasket (17-8) won against bottom-ranked Jaguarzo Adepla (9-16) in Plasencia 97-92 on Saturday. It was a good game for American power forward Mike Middlebrooks (206-92, college: Adams St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import forward RJ McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City) contributed with 37 points (!!!) for the winners. Pablo Gracia (197-96) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Serbian center Dusan Kostic (205-94) added 19 points in the effort for Jaguarzo Adepla. Four Medacbasket and five Jaguarzo Adepla players scored in double figures. Medacbasket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group D-Clasif, which they share with Marbella. Jaguarzo Adepla lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Medacbasket will face Huelva (#8) at home in the next round. Jaguarzo Adepla will play against Almeria and hope to win that game.
