Regular Season Round 27: Peristeri GS - Iraklis 74-64

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Athens. First ranked Peristeri GS faced 3rd placed Iraklis. Host Peristeri GS (26-1) defeated guests from Thessaloniki (20-7) 74-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Iraklis. The best player for the winners was center Tasos Dimitriadis (204-82) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 13 points. Four Peristeri GS players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Kostas Kakaroudis (204-83) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Peristeri GS maintains first place with 26-1 record. Iraklis at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Peristeri GS are looking forward to face Kastoria (#5) on the road in the next round. Iraklis will play against Marousi and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
