Regular Season Round 54: Gunma - Shinshu BW 75-61

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Shinshu BW (23-29) was defeated on the road by third ranked Gunma (29-23) 75-61 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Masashi Obuchi (182-83) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Gunma's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and his fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Gunma maintains third position with 29-23 record having four points less than leader Akita NH. Shinshu BW lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 29 games lost. Gunma will face league's leader Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shinshu BW will play at home against Kanazawa Sam. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
