Regular Season Round 32: Manresa - Valladolid 78-75

Ninth-ranked Blancos de Rueda (15-17) made lots of trouble for third ranked La ICL Manresa (24-8). La ICL Manresa managed to secure only three-point victory 78-75. However their fans expected much easier game. La ICL Manresa dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Blancos de Rueda's 26. La ICL Manresa brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and Danish guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) supported him with 16 points. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) did not help to save the game for Blancos de Rueda. American guard Greg Gantt (188-91, college: Florida Atlantic) added 20 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa moved-up to second place, which they share with Prat. Newly promoted Blancos de Rueda keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. La ICL Manresa's next round opponent will be CB Prat (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Blancos de Rueda will play against Barca II (#15) and hope to win that game.
