There was an upset when higher ranked Blancos de Rueda (15-18) lost to fifteenth ranked Barca II (12-21) in Valladolid 73-87 on Friday. The game without a history. Barca II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Barca II had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Pol Figueras (187-98) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 assists. Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Barca II players scored in double figures. American guard Greg Gantt (188-91, college: Florida Atlantic) answered with 22 points and the other American import guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) added 15 points in the effort for Blancos de Rueda. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Barca II moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Blancos de Rueda lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost.
