The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Menorca as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C-A. Menorca defeated 11th ranked Castelldefels in Mahon 70-58. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Alberto Artiles (190-97) accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Andreu Sese came up with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Jaume Zanca added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Castelldefels in the defeat. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Menorca. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Castelldefels lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh place with 17 games lost. Castelldefels will play next round against Cantaires Tortosa trying to get back on the winning streak. Menorca will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Vive El Masnou at Barcelona.
