Regular Season Round 31: Olivar - Valls Nutrion 100-77

There was an upset in Zaragoza where 4th placed Valls Nutrion (17-8) was rolled over by eighth ranked Olivar (12-13) 100-77 on Saturday. Olivar looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Valls Nutrion's players. It was a great evening for Ander Urdiain who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Raul Lobaco helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. Four Olivar players scored in double figures. Olivar's coach Carlos Iglesias felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward RJ Freeman (206-95, college: Pikeville) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Equatorial Guinean forward Oscar Ngomo (197-90) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olivar. They maintain eighth place in Group C-B with 12-13 record. Loser Valls Nutrion dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Olivar will face league's second-placed Pardinyes-L. in Lleida in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Valls Nutrion will play at home against Mollet and hope to win that game.
