Regular Season Round 26: Hapoel Holon - Maccabi Ashdod 76-89

Top ranked Hapoel Holon (17-8) recorded its eighth loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Maccabi Ashdod (17-9) 89-76. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. Hapoel Holon managed to win third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hapoel Holon 40-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Maccabi Ashdod have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-9 record having just one point less than leader Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Holon at the other side still keeps top place with eight games lost. They share the position with Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Ashdod are looking forward to face league's second-placed Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
