An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. First ranked Fukuoka Rizing faced 4th ranked Orange Vikings. Host Fukuoka Rizing (46-11) defeated guests from Matsuyama (31-26) 88-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Orange Vikings. They outrebounded Orange Vikings 41-29 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Pape Faye (200-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 46-11 record. Orange Vikings at the other side keep the fourth place with 26 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Orange Vikings will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kumamoto V. (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
