Regular Season Round 32: Chalons-Reims - Dijon 79-92

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Chalons-Reims (13-19) was defeated at home by fifth ranked JDA Dijon (19-13) 92-79. The game was mostly controlled by JDA Dijon. Chalons-Reims was better in third quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JDA Dijon shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) contributed with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian-American center Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (207-85, college: Maryland) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Ed Daniel (203-90, college: Murray St.) added 18 points and 5 steals in the effort for Chalons-Reims. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JDA Dijon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Chalons-Reims at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. JDA Dijon's next round opponent will be Gravelines-Dunkerque (#13) at home and are hoping to win another game. Chalons-Reims will play against JL Bourg and hope to win that game.
