Regular Season Round 31: Roanne - Orleans 74-72

The most exciting game of round 31 in the ProB took place in Roanne. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Entente Orleans 45 (24-7) to third ranked Chorale de Roanne (24-7) 74-72 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Entente Orleans 45. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 16 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: Inception Sports) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chorale de Roanne have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Orleans. Chorale de Roanne is looking forward to face JA Vichy (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Provence Basket (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
