Regular Season Round 60: Ehime OV - Sendai 89ers 102-91

The game between Top Four teams took place in Matsuyama. Fourth ranked host Orange Vikings (33-27) defeated one of their biggest challengers Sendai 89ers (20-40) 102-91. Orange Vikings looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orange Vikings moved-up to third place. Sendai 89ers lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 40 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
