Palermo dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Orvieto's 34. They outrebounded Orvieto 39-25 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Palermo looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Orvieto's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marta Verona (176-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. Lithuanian center Ieva Preskienyte (193-93, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Palermo players scored in double figures. Point guard Rachele Porcu (165-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with 12 points and 7 assists and guard Giovanna Granieri (170-74) added 13 points in the effort for Orvieto. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
