San Pedro held off Belize City to take the lead in the semifinal series. Tigersharks dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Defenders' 40. Tigersharks forced 23 Defenders turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Defenders helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Martevuius Adams stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American guard Jihad Wright (193, college: UNC Pembroke) chipped in 21 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 blocks. Four Tigersharks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Darwin Leslie (191-81) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
