Regular Season Round 9: Ipswich F. - Logan T. 101-78

There was an upset in Booval where higher ranked Logan Thunder (1-2) was outplayed by leader Force (1-0) 101-78 on Sunday. Force made 32-of-40 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Logan Thunder only scored seven points from the stripe. Force had a 34-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Amanda Johnson who had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 6 assists. Rachel Mate chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and C Carroll added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Force left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Loser Logan Thunder dropped to the tenth position with two games lost. Force will face league's second-placed Capitals in Brisbane in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Logan Thunder will play at home against Brisbane Spartans (#6) and hope to win that game.
