Regular Season Round 32: Quimper - Evreux 96-104

Very expected game when 16th ranked Quimper UJAP (9-23) lost at home to tenth ranked ALM Evreux (15-17) 104-96 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quimper UJAP won fourth quarter 29-28. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALM Evreux shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for ALM Evreux especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quimper UJAP was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 24 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) replied with 25 points and 7 assists and Paul-Lou Duwiquet (195-95) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Four ALM Evreux and five Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Denain. Loser Quimper UJAP keeps the sixteenth position with 23 games lost. ALM Evreux will face Caen (#13) at home in the next round. Quimper UJAP will play against Poitiers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
